MORRIS PLAINS, NJ, November 9, 2021 – Weichert Workforce Mobility, one of the world’s leading providers of corporate relocation services, has won “Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility—Bespoke Solutions” at the Forum for Expatriate Management’s EMEA EMMA Awards for its employee travel compliance and safety tool, SMARTRIP.

SMARTRIP was lauded as groundbreaking technology that helps companies manage and mitigate risks associated with relocating employees, remote workers, virtual assignees and business travelers by quickly and easily assessing each trip against the latest tax and visa/immigration requirements and COVID restrictions. This allows employers to protect the welfare of their employees so they can travel and work without the penalties, restrictions and reputational damage that compliance violations can bring.

Attracting contenders from across the globe, this year’s nominations were rigorously evaluated by an independent judging panel of senior HR and mobility professionals from across the EMEA region representing such companies as Uber, Electronic Arts, EY, BD, Heineken, Novo Nordisk, The Coca-Cola Company, Boehringer Ingelheim and Thomson Reuters, to name a few.

Weichert was selected from a shortlist of fourteen finalists in its category for “demonstrating best-in-class innovation in developing a technology solution to assist their clients and assignees.” As one judge commented, “Weichert’s SMARTRIP brings a number of complicated, critical business travel and immigration related data together to streamline business travel management significantly.”

“Exceptional service experiences begin with Legendary people empowered by Legendary technology,” said Dave Bencivengo, President of Weichert Workforce Mobility. “This recognition is a reflection not only of the caliber of the people servicing clients and mobile employees on our front lines, but also the colleagues behind-the-scenes who work tirelessly to develop, design, test and improve our technology.”

“SMARTRIP was developed in a challenging time, as the pandemic took hold worldwide,” said Janet Markle, Weichert’s Senior Regional Vice President and one of the platform’s architects. “But the many positive ways it has impacted our clients’ ability to manage employee safety, program compliance and duty of care have been remarkable. Going forward, it will continue to be an essential tool for managing global talent mobility and business travel.”

This is the second major technology award to be presented to Weichert this year, building anticipation for the launch of the company’s groundbreaking mobility service platform in 2022. In August, Weichert SMARTRIP won a Silver Stevie International Business Award® for excellence in Business Technology Solutions.

This award also caps a banner year for Weichert at all three regional EMMAs. The company won Relocation Management of the Year for an unprecedented seventh time at the Americas EMMAs in May and won Relocation Management of the Year: Outstanding Agility & Crisis Management as a Service Provider at the Asia Pacific EMMAs in October.
