Weichert Workforce Mobility Sponsors Move For Hunger and Gives Back to Hungry People Throughout the U.S. 04.16.2019

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.  – April 16, 2019 – Weichert Workforce Mobility made a significant donation of $10,000 to sponsor Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that partners with more than 1,000 relocation companies to collect non-perishable food from people who are moving and donate those items to food banks/pantries across the United States and Canada.

“I believe that this will be a fantastic addition to Weichert’s current Corporate Social Responsibility efforts and most importantly allows us to do our part to help feed hungry people throughout the U.S.,” said, William Vogt, Director, North American Operations.

With more than 41 million people in the U.S. at risk of hunger, 1 in 6 children who go to bed hungry every night and 40% of the food produced in the U.S. wasted, we are happy to play a pivotal role in solving this crisis.

Move For Hunger is a simple and seamless integration into our current business practices, which makes charitable giving a vital part of helping employees relocate.

Here at Weichert Workforce Mobility our colleagues are not only determined to succeed but also to give time and effort back to their communities. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (known as WeCARE) is an integral aspect of our Legendary Service ICARE philosophy. Our ICARE philosophy of Legendary Service extends beyond simply being supportive of our transferees and assignees. It is a tangible way we demonstrate our authenticity as a Company, a Company that gives to others in times of change, in times of need and in times of difficulty.

“WeCARE is one of the significant and impactful ways we collectively and individually demonstrate that commitment throughout the year to and for the many communities around the world in which we operate. It is not only what we do, it is who we are,” said Chris Brunone, EVP Talent Development and Colleague Engagement.

The giving back does not stop here, through each move and each community event, we will continue to build upon our partnership, encourage our valued suppliers and network partners to join us in the fight against hunger and participate in food drives throughout the year to magnify our WeCARE efforts worldwide.
