Getting Global Execs on the Ground and Up to Speed

One of our clients, a global Fortune 500 consumer products company headquartered in Switzerland, sent a key Executive to the U.S. on a three-year assignment, tasked with improving the company’s US margin. The CEO’s first decision was to recruit a new Executive Team to bring fresh perspective, renewed passion and a global mindset to the project. These executives were expected to hit the ground running alongside him in the States.

Knowing these executives would have divergent personal, cultural and familial needs, the client looked to Weichert to identify, interview, recruit and train “Personal Assistants” in both the departure and destination locations to serve as on-the-ground points of contact for the executives, providing any type of concierge service required. These Assistants were selected based on their extensive local knowledge and their insight into the personal habits of executives. On the destination end, they would assist the executives in assimilating into their new homes and communities, while connecting them with local services and amenities that best fit their lifestyles.

With the Personal Assistants handling the details, the client enjoyed increased productivity, higher employee satisfaction, improved synergy and stronger focus on the issue at hand. In fact, one executive was so satisfied with the service provided, he hired his PA to become part of the client’s permanent staff.
