Relocation managers recognize Extended Business Travelers as a high-growth segment of the mobile workforce, used for project work, corporate expansion and talent development, amongst other things.

But while these moves carry the same tax and visa/immigration risks as “traditional” assignments, most companies aren’t taking the proper precautions to ensure compliance. These companies do so at their own peril, as running afoul of regional taxing authorities could result in jail for your employee and sanctions or heavy fines for your company.
