Let’s Make Work Happen: The RES Forum
We’re thrilled to introduce EPISODE 12 of our smash hit video web series: “Let’s Make Work Happen”!
Join Jennifer Connell, web series host and fearless leader of our Advisory Services team for another dive into one of the hottest topics igniting conversations across our industry.
Today in the hot seat is David Enser, Director of The RES Forum, a global mobility consultancy aimed at providing the tools, knowledge and community to help mobility professionals keep pace with changes in the industry, and help the industry keep pace with the needs of mobility professionals!
David and Jen’s discussion centers on RES’s upcoming global mobility study that explores three potential future work scenarios: remote-first workplaces, sustainable global careers, and gig economy dominance. The study aims to spark meaningful conversations about the future of work, inviting professionals at all levels to share their experiences and perspectives.
“More and more industry leaders and Global Mobility leaders are being tasked to scale their future impact via technology versus head count. And of course, that has a human impact and a human element to it as well. The debate around the continuing functional relevance of cross-border working continues to grow…we’re trying to redefine what the functional relevance of cross-border working is in a post-COVID world and also during an anti-migration backlash, as we see in many different parts of the world.”
– David Enser | Director, The RES Forum
As the alignment of Global Mobility and the evolving needs of today’s workforce becomes a pivotal focal area for companies looking to optimize their relocation programs for the future, Jen and David deliver eye-opening wisdom worth plugging into.
Thanks for sharing how you’re Making Work Happen, David!
RES Wants to Hear From You!
As David detailed in our discussion, robust participation is critical to uncovering the insights that our industry needs to drive positive changes:
“We embrace views from everyone! For every head of mobility, I want a junior mobility firm, with the belief that today’s managers are tomorrow’s heads of mobility. Many of these people will also have their own experience of living, working, and being employed in various capacities across the border as well. So, I want to see all levels of an organization and the broader ecosystem. this may include HR directors, CHROs, CEOs, gig workers, remote employees, freelancers, or contractors. It could be somebody who works in the extensive ecosystem, and the supplier ecosystem, supporting mobility!”
